This platform counts what happens on it, first-party and in its own database. No third-party tracker, no cross-site identifier, no raw IP kept, no account required to be counted.
Aggregate measurement of use, the same kind of counting any working site keeps: how many people visited, what they opened, which games got played.
Page views and sessions
Which path was opened, in which locale, on which of the three faces, and a rotating anonymous session id that groups one visit's events together without identifying who made it.
What was opened
Which name, document, proverb or explorer was opened, which game was played and how it ended, and what was searched for, including the zero-result searches that show what the corpus is missing.
Device class
Mobile, tablet or desktop, read from the browser's own User-Agent string. Not a fingerprint: no screen size, no font list, no canvas probe.
Country
Two-letter country only, read from a request header. Never a city, a region or coordinates.
No third-party tracker
No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no third-party script of any kind. Every event goes straight to this platform's own database.
No persistent identity
The session id used to group one visit's events rotates and is never linked to a name, an email or an account unless a reader chooses to sign in for an unrelated feature such as Amòye's thread history.
No stored IP address
The request's IP is used only to derive a two-letter country at the moment of receipt, then discarded. It is never written to storage.
No fingerprinting
Device class is a coarse three-way read of the User-Agent string, not a combination of signals designed to re-identify a specific browser.
Not kept as a raw log. Each event is folded into that day's counters and leaderboards at the moment it arrives, and the individual event itself is discarded.
Kept indefinitely, the same way the corpus itself is: they are what the dashboard reports on and what the platform's public numbers are drawn from.
Nothing on this page changes that promise. Measurement happens whether or not a reader ever signs in, and signing in is never required to read the corpus.
A browser sending Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is not counted: the beacon checks for either signal before it sends anything.
