The ọ̀pá Ọ̀sanyìn (also known in related contexts as ọ̀pá orere) is a wrought-iron staff commissioned by herbalist-priests (oníṣègùn) dedicated to Ọ̀sanyìn, the divinity of herbal medicine and forest flora .
The iconography of the ọ̀pá Ọ̀sanyìn is organized in vertical tiers :
- The Master Bird: The staff is surmounted by a prominent, stylized iron bird with an elongated beak, outstretched wings, and an upward-curving tail. This master bird represents the surveillance, therapeutic authority, and spiritual power (àṣẹ) of the herbalist .

Òsùn Babaláwo (Divination Staffs)
The òsùn babaláwo is an iron staff belonging to senior Ifá diviners (babaláwo) .
